5 Simple Tips To Help Your Indoor Air
Smelling Fresh & Clean!
-
Don't let recycling materials accumulate in your living space. Keep
newspapers, rags, cans, bottles, and other materials away from your home in a
covered area like a garage or storage shed.
-
When dusting around your home, use a damp cloth and a damp mop instead of
dusting and sweeping dry. The dampness will grab and hold the dust and
dirt, instead of pushing from one area to another.
-
Avoid planting bushes and trees near your home that produce large amounts of
pollen that will enter your home's airspace in the spring.
-
After a rainstorm, inspect the areas around your windows and doors to see if
there is any leakage. A damp rug or carpet that sits for a few hours will
give off a foul odor.
-
Before buying a home furnishing product for you home, take a small piece of the
material and seal it in a jar. Then leave the jar in a warm, sunny place
for two days or so. Open the jar and smell the air inside the jar.
If the air is offensive, don't buy the product!
